Derek Chen,graduated from Central Academy of Art and Design.now live in Beijing.With over 10 years'experience in the fields of visual,interior and product design,he established his studio in 2009 and made cooperation with domestic first-line brands to carry on the systematic product R&D.In the spring of 2010.his own brand Maxmarko was founded.then he gained EDIDA(EllE Decoration International Design Awards)gold medals on Shanghai International Furniture Fair,and more honors at home and abroad.His works was invited continuously to Europe,the United States and so many high-level exhibitions.He believes that seeking the law the things going with and then refining it into a transcendental classic spirit above our popular view,is the principle for design.

Beijing Maxmarko Furniture Design Centre
Maxmarko was originally established as a furniture development center by designer Derek Chen,aiming to explore and create truly unique and inspiring contemporary Chinese design through this platform.After many years of cooperation with domestic and foreign furniture brands in design,Derek decided to promote this exploration to a new stage:In the spring of 2010,Maxmarko was officially established in Beijing as a furniture brand.Maxmarko aims to leave a mark on this era,and at the same time,it offers a timeless experience of contemporary life.

It extracts elements from traditional classical cultural processes and re-creates them through contemporary technologies. After trying different weaving techniques, it selects the "random weaving" form of rattan wicker weaving, then generates parametric models and adopts photocuring 3D printing production. Under the premise of maintaining the "random weaving" form, it explores the route of rapid generation and explores new directions for traditional weaving in the current industrial products market.
