MATCHING ART SHANGHAI DESIGN CO. LTD. was founded in 2006, and in the same year the designer brand ―MATCHBOX‖ was launched. The brand’s work has been displayed at SHANGHAI FASHION WEEK, Get It Louder, Zhengda Art Museum, Gothenburg FASHION WEEK, and VANCOUVER FASHION WEEK since 2007. The work ―ZHI‖ of the PINWU project ―From Yuhang‖ was awarded the SaloneSatellite Design Report Award in Milan Design Week.

We have found the ideal raw material to work with in China – bamboo fibers. We try to used bamboo fiber to make elastic knit costumes. In this way, the features of bamboo are presented: elastic, tough, and easily used in life. More attention has been paid to understanding traditional dress culture, one of plainness and simplicity.
