ZIZHIRAN is a textile studio that primarily engaged in pattern design, silk printing, dying, texture experiment such as，was founded in Hangzhou in March 2016. The studio was set up by two young designers. FAN ZHANG is a graduate of ROYAL COLLEGE OF ART. XIAO LIN KE graduated from ECOLE DUPERRE PARIS-(ESAA). Our design philosophy is ‘TOUCH DESIGN’, which means we want to create a touchable design that include interesting things in life.

Materials: Gauze, Grass Linen, TPU

Fabric is a basic necessity in our life. Different fabrics show our different personalities. We are aiming to create special fabrics through reform and innovation by analyzing ourselves.
L Experiment: Gauze. Painted fabric becomes stronger and covers its nature. This expression displays that L lacks a sense of security and wants to protect herself by the coated layer. At the same time, the different colorful layers show her rich emotions. 
F Experiment: Grass Linen and TPU. F wants to change the configuration of fabric by utilizing its nature. The aim of experiment is exploring the plasticity of selected fabrics through binding different materials and creating special effects by the outside force. There are different textures and appearances on the two side of the fabric. Meanwhile the fabric hides its original feature. 
L&F Experiment: Combing L and F’s fabrics is due to create a piece of fabric has two personalities.
