Master of Arts and Design,University of Gothenburg.Has experiences in product design and art direction in a number of international design and architecture firms in both Stockholm and Shanghai.In 2012,he won the Swedish Young Designer award.His works has been exhibited in New York Maria Larsson,Shanghai Power Station of Art,Hong Kong llivetomorrow,and Beijing Chambers Fine Arts.His work A Stone A Mountain,collected in HDK,has been awarded the Lyckholms fond Award by Gothenburg Handicraft Association.

Dong Mi
Co-founder of mattersofseeing.
Master of Design,Polytechnic University of Milan.Has experiences in product design and commercial space design in many international design firms in both Milan and Amsterdam. Participated in Milan design week several times. She has rich cooperation experience with international famous brands and designers in the fields of home design and exhibition design,also cross-field cooperation with many Italian and Dutch artists at the same time.
 

OPEN OBJECT OPEN OBJECT 
Is a design-oriented ceramic brand based in China.The core of OPEN OBJECT is the "open object",which looks for the multivariate properties of object itself.Taking ceramics as a medium material,by means of design,we explore the possibility of material forming and the relationship between form,function and aesthetics.
Current brand mainly divides into two lines or can be understood as two phases.The first phase.
we call it "LAB".At this stage we more emphasis on experiment.It's relatively more artistic.
We keep trying and breakthrough in technology and the way of making new possibilities.and through exhibitions and other channels to contact with the public.The feedback directly influences the second stage.The second stage is called "MASS".This stage requires the final product to meet all the possibilities of mass production.We pay more attention to the practicality of the product.In the future,we hope to work with international designers,artisans and artists to interpret a new contemporary language and create an ideal ceramic product.OPEN OBJECT's ceramic is for your use and defined by you.

Inspired by the characteristics of hot expansion and cold contraction of wood tenon structure,the work hui made use of the high shrinkage and irreversibility of ceramics to make the ceramics nested together.

The finished product now is an exploration.It does not attempt to define a functional form.The aim is to explore the coordination of its physical form and production process.It is a mathematical game,and a challenge to the limits of the material itself.

The uncertainty and openness of hui is designed to arouse users'speculation on the object itself and their metaphysical exploration beyond the function of the object.
